U.S. Military Hits Venezuelan Vessel in Caribbean, Three Dead

🚢 The U.S. military has confirmed a second strike on a Venezuelan boat in international waters, which officials say was carrying narcotics. Three suspected traffickers were killed in the attack.
President Trump revealed the operation on Truth Social, releasing video of the strike. He described the target as part of “violent drug cartels and narcoterrorist networks” attempting to move drugs from Venezuela toward the United States. No American troops were harmed.
The strike follows an earlier action on September 2, when U.S. forces sank another Venezuelan vessel, leaving 11 people dead. That incident marked the start of Trump’s newly announced naval deployment to the southern Caribbean.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has signaled that the campaign will continue. Still, the decision to destroy boats instead of seizing them has drawn criticism, as it departs from the Coast Guard’s usual counter-narcotics methods and raises questions about legal justification.
Caracas, meanwhile, has accused Washington of escalating tensions after claiming that a U.S. destroyer boarded a Venezuelan tuna fishing boat for several hours last weekend. Venezuelan officials condemned the move as aggressive and warned it endangers regional peace.
